Deep Blue Sea

I went to check out Deep Blue Sea tonight. To sum it up: Jaws meets Jurassic Park. Now remember, Jaws and JP were both great movies, so that's a compliment. It's your standard scary animal thriller, but it has some tense and truly thrilling surprises of it's own. I would have to say it qualifies as the most unexpected good movie of the year, thanks in part to a nice performance from LL Cool J that was barely hinted at in the trailer. In every way that Blair Witch was truly scary, Deep Blue Sea is a fun, unadulterated adrenaline shock-fest. A must see.
