Hello, all Lockergnome subscribers! I saw my site in the Gnomelinks sections today, so I thought I'd ask all those potential visitors to have a look around my site, check out my cams, send me an e-mail, and see if there's anything you like in the creations section. I hope you enjoy the site...
On another note: I have a new webcam... I replaced my Creative Web Cam II (parellel version) with a Creative Web Cam 3 (USB version). It's much better...

I saw Mickey Blue Eyes on Friday night, with Jessica, Colin and Jen Oddie, a new friend of mine. It was very funny. The fish-out-of-water part was written specifically for Hugh Grant, and of course his natural bumbling charm sold the whole thing. Some really classic bits sprinkled liberally throughout, including a great scene in a chinese restaurant. James Caan is also great in his Mafioso role.
After the movie, we headed over to Perkin's again, where I got the tiniest little portion of pasta you have ever seen. Saturday at lunch, however, I got a nice big bowl of Chicken Fettucine Alfredo at Boston Pizza.
Saturday night was Kat's 18th birthday party, an outdoor affair at her sprawling compound. She got a very lovely Dildo from Roger, which ended up as a prop in a vigorous game of Truth or Dare later on in the evening... Much drinking was done by all, and I got some chicken, so that's good.

Where to start? I have a web cam now, so you can look at me while I do stuff... and a screencam, so you can see what I'm doing. That's loads of fun. ICQ me and I'll wave to you, I promise. That's the big news, so go over to the cams button there and check it out.
Some changes here on the main page, over at the right. I added a very important form, plus some randomized links. Let's discuss:
Recommended: Lockergnome: You really should subscribe to Lockergnome. As I've mentioned in the links section, Lockergnome rocks. It's a daily/weekly newsletter chock full of Windows tips, tricks, tweaks, freeware, fonts, themes, links, and julienne fries. And Chris Pirillo, the mastermind behind the whole deal, is about the nicest and helpfullest (not a word, and I don't care.) guy on the net. So plug in the ol' e-mail addy, and sign up...
Endorsed: Under here are products and such that I'm sure would love to advertise on ianwallace.com if they knew it existed. Why? Because they are things I love. You buy a product or service from on of these sources, you will be pleased. The image is randomized, so hit reload for a new one...
Supported: Non-corporate web sites that I find fun, funny, useful, beautiful or just plain cool. Or, people I owe a link to. Help support the little guy's web page.
Last, but not even close to least, the Girlfriend section has been updated, as promised... Check that out for the lowdown on me and Jess.
Have fun!

Went out to Perkins with Jessica, Colin and Clayton this evening, and had a damn fine Chicken Bacon Melt. You really should try one.

Here in Calgary, we have a fairly mediocre Top 40 radio station called Power 107. This past week, the afternoon show has been jockeyed by a DJ called Maz McFly. Mr. McNugget apparently decided that just the thing to spice up his little fill-in gig was a Trivia contest. So he borrowed a trivia question that took San Diego listeners 6 months to answer correctly/ The question was: "What is the first thing you know?" Ostensibly, it refers to the first piece of knowledge possessed after conception or birth, but it's trick question. Being the clever little devil that I am, I used the Bigfoot e-mail search engine to find some people in San Diego, and I got the answer from the delightful
Kathryn Thompson. The answer:"Old Jed's a millionaire".
I was amused by the answer and immediately called into the station to claim my prize and all the glory reserved for radio trivia masters. I was denied by Mr. McDogfucker, however, who claimed that several other people had called in with the correct answer, and he was just keeping the contest going for some fun.
Jessica spoke with another DJ, the handsome and talented Woodman, about this travesty, and he took it upon himself to award her and I a $25 gift-certificate for The Keg. But I was not satiated by a simple prize! Why was this DJ, Maz McChildmolester lying to the public about his contest?
Determined to find out, I sent of this nasty fax to Rob Mise, program director at Power. In response, I received a call from the illustrious Mr. McCumbucket who, sounding freshly chastised, meekly apologized, and tried to explain that no harm was intended, and there was no malicious intent to his brutal and bald-faced dishonesty.

Jessica, Melissa and I headed off to the dollar-theater tonight to check out 10 Things I Hate About You again, when the white-trash couple behind us couldn't keep their bastard infant quiet, things got a little nasty. After the emaciated slut called my lovely Jessica a fat bitch, among other choice derogatives, I had little choice but to empty my drink on her. The theater management got involved, and the bitch actually told us that she had no idea how to get stains out of clothes, because she had never done laundry before. She's 21 years old... She also claimed the Guess T-shirt she was wearing was worth 50 bucks... yeah, right. Guess is so 5 years ago...

Me and Jessica finally saw Runaway Bride last night. It was pretty good. Not really as good as Pretty Woman, but it was still satisfying. Joan Cusack was looking the best she has in years in this movie, making me wonder why she seems to have chosen only ugly characters lately. I was feeling pretty sick during the movie, though. My bones were aching from all the white blood cell production. Jessica made me feel better, though. I love her, she's the best.
I added a little happy-face emoticon graphic to my site, just to the right there. Have some fun with it.

Hey, all. Just some quickies about the stuff that I have done over the last couple of days.
Had an eye exam on thursday... Turns out I'm half-blind and a have a cataract. So I gotta get some new glasses next week. After the exam I went to Red Devil, a restaurant that specializes in spicy food, which I don't eat. I had a good burger, though... So, it's all good. Jessica picked up an Aqua Baby at the mall. It's a little frog (you can also get fish) inside a plastic cube... They're pretty cool. She named it Spot.
I went to see Bowfinger on Saturday. Nothing to write home about. Didn't really make me laugh, but there was humour... Eddie Murphy was just annoying in this movie, but Steve Martin was great as the determined yet almost hopeless film-maker.
To any Star Trek fans out there... I'm reading the series of novels called Double Helix. Six novels written By my fave Peter David, John Vornholt, Diane Duane and Michael Jan Friedman. They are excellent books that deal with an engineered virus striking various worlds throughout the established 30-odd-year history of The Next Generation. Check it out...

Okay, first of all, I'm sorry. I've been a bad updater. Second, how do ya'll like the new look? A bit more colorful, more polished I think. Please let me know what you think.
Here's what I've been up to:
I went to Edmonton with Jessica for two wonderful days to celebrate our 0ne-year anniversary. We went to West Edmonton Mall, the world's largest shopping center. We planned to go to the accompanying water park, but at 30 bucks a pop, we said "No thanks". We checked out Mystery Men instead. It rocked. It works both as a superhero movie and as a parody of said movies. The characters are really brought to life as people, not just bumbling losers.... except for Paul Rueben's Spleen. He never really worked out. Note to Travellers: Edmonton has traffic circles. Beware.
When I got back, I checked out Dick. Once again, Kirsten Dunst brings her hottie factor to the screen, but this movie was lacking. Some truly gut-busting bits involving a misunderstanding of the word "dick", but other than that, not much too it... Watergate jokes are only funny to Adults and geeks like me. And I thought the jokes were weak. Oliver Stone's Nixon was funnier.
I also saw The Matrix Twice this week at the dollar-theater. Still rocks, people. Check it out again before it's gone.
Goodnight.

I went to check out Deep Blue Sea tonight. To sum it up: Jaws meets Jurassic Park. Now remember, Jaws and JP were both great movies, so that's a compliment. It's your standard scary animal thriller, but it has some tense and truly thrilling surprises of it's own. I would have to say it qualifies as the most unexpected good movie of the year, thanks in part to a nice performance from LL Cool J that was barely hinted at in the trailer. In every way that Blair Witch was truly scary, Deep Blue Sea is a fun, unadulterated adrenaline shock-fest. A must see.

Well, I saw the Blair Witch Project on Friday night, and it was scary. Really very very scary. It's really suspensful, but nothing happens until the very end of the film, so you keep getting these adrenaline jolts and then after it subsides, BANG! You get another one. I still can't sleep properly yet, so that's how good the movie is... Check it out, I dare ya!
