Sorry for the lack of updates lately folks. I feel bad, but I'm haven't been up too much in the past couple o' days. A few things:
My best friend Colin got @Home Cable internet yesterday, so he's wired for speed, baby. And handsome too.
I went to see Drop Dead Gorgeous tonight. Pretty Damn funny stuff. And a hottie factor of at least 9.3. Really nice grey t-shirt on Kirsten Dunst.
I had to remove a certain individual from my friends section after discovering that she hates me. I'm not naming name's but she can Kiss my Ass, Though. Until I get an apology.
Speaking of friends, I got some people to add over the next couple of days. I love you all, but I need pictures.

If you like funny stuff (who doesn't like funny stuff? Honestly? That was the stupidest comment I've ever made...) then you'll have to pick up a couple albums...
Weird Al is back in full force with Running With Scissors. His last effort, Bad Hair Day was kind of weak, but this new stuff kicks ass! Excellent parodies of One Week, Pretty Fly for a White Guy, and American Pie. I especially like "All about the Pentiums".
South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut: The Soundtrack is another must-have. It's raunchy, filthy, hilarious and musically quite good. The songs are a clever mixture of Disney harmonies and traditional SP humor. Shut your fucking face, Uncle Fucker...

Check this site out: Trailervision it originally aired on a TV Station in Canada, now it's on the web. It's bunch of previews for movies that don't exist. The Moon Attacks, Undercover Homosexual, some really funny stuff. Take a look.
Peter Zale's Site, home of Helen, Sweetheart of the Internet, just got a spiffy new look, with some DHTML, so that's worth a quick look. Hang in there gang. I'm still looking for e-mail and ICQ messages from people who visit the site.

First and foremost, welcome all visitors who are here by way of SPCentral. I'm going to try and set up a mirror that will have the last 5 or so episodes at any time, so why don't you sign-up for the newsletter to keep up-to-date on that. While you're here, just have a quick look around, and let me know what you think.
Having a grand old time at my GF's house, partying on. If you live in the Alberta area, ICQ me, and you can drop over... you'll find my UIN in the contact section. Stay tuned for some great pictures from the evening. Have a nice night.

Wow. that movie was GOOD. Really very good. Very intelligent, spooky & sexy. A terrific film. I highly recommend it to Cruise fans, Kidman fans, and especially Kubrick fans. If you think you might want to see it, you'll probably enjoy it.
On a side note, I can't help but notice I got in excess of 2,000 hits in the 6 HOURS I was away from my computer. I am not that interesting, and even if every single person on my mailing list visited 3 times in 6 HOURS, that would still be too many hits to explain. It's good for my ego when the counter rises steadily. Please, let me be proud of my work without second guessing my success. Don't do this again. Also, new visitors, please e-mail me or join the mailing list when you first visit, just to give me your impressions. Thank you all, and have a nice day. =)

Today's the day! After almost 2½ years of waiting, I'm going to see Eyes Wide Shut, the psycho-sexual drama starring Tom Cruise (my all-time favorite actor), his lovely and talented wife Nicole Kidman, and directed by the late Stanley Kubrick. This movie is going to kick ass, I believe. I'll let you all know about it tommorow.

Well, I just got back from seeing Arlington Road, and so I will now begin the regular feature of critique-ing movies for you faithful visitors. In brief, it was pretty good. Jeff Bridges is a competent actor (read: boring), but the complexity of Tim Robbins' acting isn't fully understood until the third act, when he discards the innocent suburbanite act, and shows us the guts of his character. For a movie that advertises it's plot twists and turns, it's fairly predictable, except for the whammy at the end. Very clever. Sometimes the direction is disjointed and cliched, but it's from a famous music-video director, so what can you do, hey?

The Creations section now has some content. Be especially sure to check out the Mentos ad, it's a 30 second video parody of those Mentos commercials that every one loves for no particular reason.
Also, some of the features of ianwallace.com that require CGI are on hold temporarily while my hosts get their shit together and fix my CGI access. So c'mon back in a few days for the standard new stuff, plus some spiffy interactive features.

It's Stampede time here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! For the uninitiated, The Calgary Exposition & Stampede is a world renowned festival, rodeo, carnival, and general celebration of all things western! Yee-ha! Seriously, though: It blows. The midway is the same tired and unchanging midway that comes to every carnival in the world. The Coke and corn dogs cost more than a used Neon, and the rodeos are only of interest to those deviants and degenerates who actually derive enjoyment from rodeos. (You know who are, people. Seek help.) So anyhoo... Me and Jessica (the girlfriend) headed down to the grounds like the good little Calgarians, dropped 80 bucks, and have nothing more substantial than indigestion and a sore knee for our troubles. C'mon over to Calgary for Stampede 2000, folks. July 6th-17th. On the plus side, I saw South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut again afterward.
